DOGS is a memecoin built on The Open Network (TON), launched in August 2024 to raise cryptocurrency awareness on Telegram, promote animal welfare, and drive real-world impact. In September, DOGS distributed over 70% of its tokens to the community through an airdrop that reached 17 million users. The platform enables registered nonprofits to apply for funding, with grants awarded through a structured approval process. So far, over $550,000 has been donated to charitable initiatives around the world. Supported organizations include a shelter network working to end animal homelessness (e.g., Best Friends Animal Society), a rescue center for abandoned and mistreated dogs, and nonprofits supporting vulnerable communities and children in need (e.g., Save an Orphan, World Child Cancer). DOGS is building and monetising a variety of Games on Telegram with familiar mechanics and viral content.
