1. What is Dogfluence?

Dogfluence is a platform that connects pet brands ("Brands") with pet content creators ("Creators"). We provide tools for Brands to boost their social media posts and for Creators to contribute to those posts through comments, co-authoring, or story sharing.

2. Account requirements

Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old
• You must provide accurate, complete information
• You may not create accounts for others or impersonate anyone

Account security

• Keep your login credentials confidential
• You are responsible for all activity on your account
• Report unauthorized access immediately to [email protected]

3. PawPoints and payments

What are PawPoints?

Dogfluence runs on PawPoints — the platform currency that powers everything between Brands and Creators. You can think of them as the fuel behind every boost, contribution, and collaboration on the platform.

• PawPoints have no cash value outside the platform
• PawPoints expire 365 days after being granted unless used or renewed
• The exact PawPoints cost or reward for each action is always displayed before you confirm

How Brands use PawPoints

Brands acquire PawPoints through subscription plans or one-time purchases and spend them to:

How Creators earn and spend PawPoints

Creators earn PawPoints by contributing to boosted posts. The reward depends on the contribution type:

Once earned, Creators can spend PawPoints on:

Subscriptions and billing

• Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
• Annual plans receive a discount (displayed at checkout)
• Prices are in USD unless otherwise stated and exclude applicable taxes
• We may change prices with 30 days notice posted on our website

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• Post false, misleading, defamatory, or illegal content
• Share pornographic, hateful, discriminatory, or violent material
• Spam, harass, or abuse other users
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the platform
• Use bots, fake accounts, or artificial engagement methods
• Violate any applicable laws or third-party rights
• Share other users' personal data without consent

5. Content and intellectual property

Your content

You retain ownership of content you create. However, by posting content on Dogfluence, you grant:

• To Dogfluence: A non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content in connection with the platform
• To Brands (for contributed content): The right to use your contributions (comments, co-authored posts, story shares) as part of their social media presence

Our content

Dogfluence owns all rights to the platform, including software, design, logos, and trademarks. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of our platform without written permission.

6. Brand-specific terms

As a Brand, you additionally agree that:

• You have the rights to all content you post and boost
• You will honor commitments made to Creators through the platform
• Your use of Creator contributions complies with applicable advertising laws and FTC guidelines
• You are responsible for disclosing sponsored relationships as required by law

7. Social media & content analysis

Account connection

When you connect a social media account (e.g., Instagram) to Dogfluence, we access certain data from that account through official platform APIs. We never use scraping, unauthorized access, or any method that violates the social media platform's terms.

Data we access includes:

• Profile information (username, bio, profile picture, follower and following counts)
• Published posts: media (images, videos, reels), captions, hashtags, @mentions, tagged accounts, and location data
• Engagement metrics: likes, comments, shares, saves, views, and reach

Automated content analysis

We use automated systems to analyze your imported posts for the following purposes:

• Brand mention detection: Identifying brand names, @mentions, and brand-related hashtags in your content
• Content themes and signals: Detecting pet-related information such as breed, size, activity level, dietary preferences, and lifestyle to improve Creator-Brand matching
• Brand portfolio: Building a list of brands you've worked with, displayed on your Dogfluence profile (you can hide any brand at any time in Settings)

Content Hub & UGC licensing

Detected brand-related content is displayed in brand Content Hubs on the platform. This is how Brands discover and license your user-generated content (UGC):

• Brands can browse and preview your content that mentions their brand
• You control licensing terms: you set what usage is allowed (organic repost, paid advertising, etc.), the duration of rights, and your pricing
• Brands download or license content by spending PawPoints and/or paying your set licensing fee
• You always earn PawPoints when your content is licensed; paid fees are in addition to PawPoints
• You can opt out entirely — disable Content Hub visibility in your Settings, and your content will not appear in any Brand's dashboard

What Brands can do with licensed content

All usage is temporary — the duration is set by the Creator's licensing terms.

What Brands cannot do

• Use content beyond the licensed scope or duration
• Remove Creator attribution from reposts
• Sub-license content to third parties
• Claim ownership of Creator content
• Download or use content without a valid license through the platform

Disconnection & revocation

You can disconnect your social media account at any time in your Settings.

• New data collection stops within 24 hours of disconnection
• Existing active licenses (already downloaded/paid for) remain valid until their set expiration date
• Unlicensed and un-downloaded content is removed from the Content Hub immediately
• Your brand portfolio on your profile is cleared upon disconnection

8. Creator-specific terms

As a Creator, you additionally agree that:

• You own or have rights to all content you contribute
• Your contributions are genuine and not artificially generated
• You will disclose your relationship with Brands as required by law (e.g., #ad, #sponsored)
• You comply with the terms of the social media platforms you use

9. Privacy

Your privacy matters. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your data.

10. Disclaimers and limitations

Service provided "as is"

Dogfluence is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• Specific engagement or business results
• That other users will fulfill their obligations

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Dogfluence is not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
• Actions or content of other users
• Third-party services linked from our platform

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Dogfluence against claims arising from your use of the platform, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

You may close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us.

By us

We may suspend or terminate accounts that:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Remain inactive for extended periods (with notice)
• Fail to pay amounts owed

Upon termination, your right to use the platform ends. Unused PawPoints are forfeited.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
