Character & Personality

The Lion in Lamb's Clothing

A deceptive docility. They appear soft, gentle, and elegant, often curling up like a cat. However, if a squirrel runs by or another dog challenges them, the "terrier switch" flips instantly to intense gameness.

Owners are often shocked when their "soft" dog suddenly engages in a ferocious scrap or dispatches a rabbit instantly. They will not back down from a fight.
Velcro Shadow

They form an intense, magnetic bond with their primary person. They will follow you to the bathroom, sit on your feet while you cook, and sleep touching you.

Can manifest as severe separation anxiety. They are not "backyard dogs" and will be miserable/destructive if excluded from family life.
The Sighthound Switch

Displays a distinct "on/off" energy cycle. Outdoors, they explode with greyhound-like speed (the "zoomies"). Indoors, they are often comatose "couch potatoes."

A casual leash walk is often insufficient to drain their sprinting energy. They need safe, enclosed areas to run flat-out.
Social Dynamics

Bedlingtons often display an "aloof assessment" followed by affection. They may not rush up to strangers like a Golden Retriever, preferring to observe first. Once accepted, they often lean their enti
