Riverwood dog foods have a meat content of no less than 46% to 52% meat (depending on the variant), and Riverwood cat foods contain no less than 51% to 55% meat. The gastrointestinal system of dogs and cats is particularly capable of optimally digesting meat; this allows the animals to absorb a wide range of (essential) nutrients from the meat. In addition, each variant of Riverwood dog and cat kibble uses three different (unique) protein sources. By using various protein sources/meat, the food automatically provides dogs and cats with diverse essential nutrients. The meat used in Riverwood comes from Free Run and Free Range animals. This means that the animals have had the space to roam freely, which contributes to better muscle development and a better quality of life; the better muscle development, in turn, contributes to better quality and taste of the meat. Furthermore, Riverwood uses functional ingredients such as spirulina, marigold, rosemary, turmeric, and sea buckthorn. These functional ingredients have a positive influence on the gastrointestinal system, skin and coat, and/or the immune system. Due to Riverwood's grain- and gluten-free formula, the food is particularly suitable for dogs and cats with a food allergy or intolerance related to grains and/or gluten. By avoiding grains (and thus also gluten-containing grains) in the food, the chance of a negative reaction to these ingredients is simply avoided. In addition, Riverwood contains a balanced selection of fruits and vegetables and is free from artificial fragrances, colors, and flavors. Thanks to Riverwood's extensive assortment, there is suitable food for every dog or cat. Riverwood has a line with 6 different variants of dog kibble and 6 variants of cat kibble. In addition, there is a line of wet food for dogs; this wet food is formulated with only one protein source, making it particularly suitable for dogs with a food allergy or intolerance. For dogs, there is also an extensive range of snacks, including crunchy, semi-moist, grillmaster, and butcher snacks. Fun fact: A new line of wet food for cats is coming soon.
