I am a first-time dog owner, and I chose to get a working line German Shepherd Dog. I spent 2.5 years researching breeds, dog care, and dog training techniques. I've been doing all of the training and socialization myself. I also am a BIPOC, trying to bring more of our voices to the pet/dog space.
